Myrtos
Myrtos is one of the most famous beaches in Greece, a many-time European winner of the most beautiful beach because of its special colors. The strong winds, in combination with the white sand, give the sea many amazing colors in all kinds of shapes.
Antisamos
Antisamos is the competitor of Myrtos for the most beautiful beach in Kefalonia. Crystal-clear colors, white pebbles, and the greenest landscape anyone could ever imagine. The sea is deep, as in any beach in the north, and the place is suggested for cocktails and watersports.
Makris Gyalos
Makris Gialos is one of the closest beaches to Argostoli. Fully organized with umbrellas and sunbeds, it is a good choice for a quick getaway. It has a beach bar with food and drinks, and also offers watersports for the fans of adrenaline.
Xi
Xi is a unique beach on the west of the island, next to Lixouri. The exclusive feature of the beach is its red sand, which takes its color from the green clay that has mixed with the sand. The sea there is shallow, in contrast with most beaches in Kefalonia. There is also a beach bar, watersports, and some taverns nearby.
Melissani cave is a miracle of nature. After a severe earthquake in Kefalonia at 1951, the roof of the cave fell of, revealing an underwater river, one of the many that start from Argostoli and make it all the way to Sami. The visitors can find there boats to tour the cave admiring the drippers, the crystal clear waters and the small islet which was used to worship the god Pan.
Drogarati cave
Drogarati cave is a grand cave that was found 300 years ago. She has also revealed by an earthquake that destroyed her entire entrence. Opened for the public at 1963 with capacity of 500 people. Although it has undergone much damage due to earthquakes, stalactites still hang from the roof and form amazing shapes.
St. Theodoron Lighthouse
A great light house at the edge of Argostoli, at the area that is called Fanari. It was built in 1828 from Charles Napier, but got destroyed by the earthquake of 1951, so he had to get reconstructed at 1960.
St. George Castle
The castle of Saint George was the capital of Kefalonia before Argostoli. It stands on a hill over the village Travliata and it is open to the public only for morning houres. Inside the visitors will see old buildings from medieval area and the walls where the canons used to be.
Assos Castle
The Venetian castle of Assos is one the most breathtaking buildings in Kefalonia. Made by the Provedditore Generalle da Mar, the Venetian High Commissioner in 1585. Firstly it was used us his residence, but until Initially, 1707 had around 200 homes and 64 buildings. It had great use because the area had many problems with pirates. From 1920 until World War II served us a prison. It is open to the public morning houres.
Argostoli is the biggest city and capital of Kefalonia. A beautifull small city built in front of Argostolian Bay and hosts around 10.000 people. Has a lot of places to walk such us lagoon of Koutavos, De Bosset bridge, the commercial pedestrian walkway of Lithostroto and the coastal walkway. The visitors can find any service or store they want, like supermarkets, restaurants and taverns, coffee shops, bars and clubs.
Lixouri
Lixouri is the second biggest city, at the west "leg" of Kefalonia. This is the closest city from our suites and can serve almost all your needs. It has many beaches all around it, imposing buildings, a river that passes through her (mostly full at winter) and a big harbor where you can take the ship and go to Argostoli and backwards
Sami
Sami is a big village at the east of Kefalonia, opposite to Ithaki island. This beautifull village, has many places for coffee or drinks and a wonderfull harbor full with luxury yachts and sailing boats.
Fiskardo
Fiskardo is the most famous village of Kefalonia. Its harbor is always full with luxury yachts and sailing boats. It is chosen from many stars of Hollywood, recognised athletes and famous businessmen, as a destination with good food, warm people and amazing environment.
Mount Ainos National Park is the biggest mountain of Ionian islands. It is 1,628 metres (5,341 ft) tall. full of wild and semi-wild animals, but also the famous Greek Fir (Abies Cephalonica), a special type of fir that can't be found almost anyware else. A trip to mountain Ainos is a great experience, no matter the season.
Ainos is home for many animal species like wild horses, eagles, falcons, rabbits snakes (mostly unharmfull) and more. Has many trails for hiking from any angle you choose and in a good day with clarity you can see until Patra city. Before the top there is EUDOXOS Observatory, a telescope that was places to study the stars.
